Sock Madness

Last year the early due date for patterns was right about now.  It seemed like it was an awkward time of year for people so we tried to have the patterns due earlier for SM2 so that we wouldn’t get in the way of holiday prep.  Guess what!  We’re still a few patterns short which brings up right back to the same timeline that was in use last year. 

We’re starting to test the patterns that we have so far but, if you’re out there sitting on some fabulous idea, there’s still time to polish it up and send it in.  Last year we offered yarny incentives for patterns.  Would that help?  Well, I’m running out of room on my sock yarn shelves so how about this… all patterns that are received by January 15th will be considered for yarny thanks.  One designer (chosen by us) will receive a little gift of sock yarn.  Sound good?

As a reminder, we’re looking for patterns that have never been published anywhere before.  The more interesting and challenging the better.  So far the patterns this year are interesting but there is certainly room for patterns that will make knitters gasp in awe or tremble with fear.  Show us what you’ve got!
